We use Hioki 3196 Power Quality Analyzer. The 3196 will capture voltage transients, swells, and dips with a date/time stamp to the nearest cycle. This can be used forensically to determine the cause of:

 

 - Unexplained transfers to Battery

 - UPS Overloading on the input or Output

 - Intermittent harmonic distortions

 - Supply efficiency

 - Imbalanced phase voltages

 - Frequency irregularities
